A good break.

The moment we reached the resort, we were welcome with their tranditonal gong. Every staffs have welcoming smile, really friendly and were ready to help whenever I need. I was given room 207. It has a decent size, clean and have a good view of the pool, plus point, it was just less than 5 mins away from the beach. The beach is clean and well maintained, the water is crystal clear. A few times I manage to see some school of fishes swimming around. You have to try the Nasi Lemak on their menu, the coconut rice is delicious to just eat on it own. And if you are lucky, you may even find it on the breakfast buffet too. The spa just recently reopen in April, so was able to enjoy it as well.

Just the perfect short break we needed. The staff were amazing. A special thank you to Hotna, El and Edison. They made us feel very welcome and were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They organised our day trips and booked all our restaurants for us. Just so easy. The resort had everything we needed and just a short ferry ride from Singapore. Thank you all

Everyone is sooo kind, everything clean and beautiful. Hotna gave us great Hospitality, the water was clean to drink, and I could spend the whole day in the pool and on the beach. Enjoyed activities(Jet skiing & snorkeling) in the marine center, Iwan was so kind and he did everything to make sure we are having fun!!

Excellent family resort - Angsana

Family of 6 pax with 3 kids under 5 yo, stayed 5 nights 6 days at Angsana resort. Service is excellent. Staff at Angsana are wonderful & really cater to families with young children like ours. We felt very welcome and some notable mentions to: Elvaretta, Burahman, Maria & Franziska (kids club), Fendi, Arie and the breakfast ladies who are too many to name!! Some of these people also helped us when our toddlers were in the middle of a meltdown. Wonderful staff!! Food choices - several options, 8 restaurants as this property is shared by Angsana, Banyan Tree & Cassia. So basically you share the facilities and restaurants across resorts. There is one restaurant Saffron, which serves Thai food and has a kids menu - I’d suggest not to go there if you have young kids. Environment is “too fine dining” and the expectation to have 3 kids under 5 yo to sit still was too much for us. We also felt awkward as most people were couples trying to have a romantic dinner. My suggestion to management is to make this a child free restaurant. Food there was excellent though. Food choices at this resort was the best we have experienced in Bintan and we have been to Bintan about 6 times before at various other resorts. However, you will be confined to the resort only. There are no shops outside. And resort food while good quality is a factor 10 more expensive than local food. Room quality is a bit dated, can be improved with renovations. Also we had the family island suite - photo was a bit misleading as I thought there were 2 levels. However it’s one level with 2 rooms. Beach is excellent -soft white sand, no waves which makes it perfect and safe for kids to play in the water. However Bintan is not so developed so you can forget about shopping - even in the city. Everything is closed on weekdays. Good for just being in the resort.
